The Brandon Police Department has stepped up once again to help us out
in making sure everyone is safe and has a good time. This road will be
block off for the treasure hunt people. Please bring your vehicle to
this staging point. We will have a registration table there at 8:30
am. All Registrations should be complete by 9:30 am that morning. We
will have a brief meeting about safety and directions at 9:45 am and at
10:00 the first group will leave. Watch the Facebook page for a few
more hints to some of the stuff you will be getting along the route.
Remember you will receive lunch on the route served by Tin Shed BBQ in
Byram. PS the shirt are in!!! If you have already paid your
registration you are welcome to yours now.
ABOUT the TREASURE HUNT: (Can be found on the link)
The
Brandon Day Treasure Hunt is a motorcycle, classic car, truck, jeep or
car run. There will be several stops around the metro area where
hunters will collect an item from participating sponsor locations and
bring them all back to the Dixie Thunder tent at Shiloh Park. Once your
mission is accomplished, each registered hunter will be entered into a
drawing to win a $500.00 cash prize to be awarded right before Randy
Houser C
oncert that evening. Each treasure hunter will receive an event t-shirt, lunch from Tin Shed Barbecue in Byram www.tinshedbbq.com and get to keep all items you pick up on the hunt.
Entry fee is $25.00 ~ all proceeds will benefit Dixie Thunder Run.

Dixie Thunder Run ( www.dixiethunderrun.net )is an organization that's
motto is "Soldiers Helping Soldiers" This year DTR have teamed with
Operation First Response which is a non-profit organization dedicated to
the
Men and Women who defend our Country each and every day. They are on a
national level, and specialize in emergency assistance to military
families. They cover all branches of the military.
DTR has also teamed with The Better Life Foundation. TBLF is also a
non-profit
organization founded in 2003 and was named after 3 Doors Down's most
successful CD "The Better Life." Their mission is to make a positive
change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter and medical
assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults with
special needs.
